I knew the minute I walked in that I would love this store!  It feels casually elegant.  It’s totally hip. Honestly, It’s just plain downright cool. It’s so interesting how the light is perfect and the location, at the water’s edge in Occoquan, is peaceful and serene.  And if you’re a cardaholic, like me, this is a bit of heaven on earth! There are loads of cards tucked in spots around the store – not your classic row-by-row display of most shops – and beautiful stationary, journals, pencil sets, calendars, & unique gifts! And the owner/graphic design artist, Sarah Hitchcock Burzio, offers not only fabulous products but can help you design one-of-a-kind gorgeous invitations, announcements, programs and, well, just about anything you want! She has the same “think local, hire/buy local” ethic that I have and she intentionally chooses local suppliers.  Sarah represents American ingenuity at its’ best – despite the ravages of big box stores and businesses, she has created this stunning brick and mortar store that’s filling the local community niche for fine stationary goods and services.  So everyone out there, I hope you’ll join me in making Hitchcock Paper Company your “go-to” shop!
